Though all ships now a days are great, they do tend to be....well...lets say similar to one another....as in clones of each other (*cough *cough Carnival *cough). That being said though, there are still many ships built and being built in today's cruise industry that deserve recognition. Want to know what ships we find worthy of note? Well....here you go!
Cunard Line's RMS Queen Mary 2 - Our absolute favorite ship in service! QM2 is Cunards current Queen of the seas, successor to the Perfect and Wonderful RMS Queen Mary (1936) and if you were to ask us, QM2, or Mary, as she is affectionately known, is by far the best ship in the worlds passenger fleet. Designed for the rigors of the North Atlantic, QM2 is no mere cruise ship...she is an ocean liner (well...depending on your definition of "ocean liner") and is even Art Deco on the inside...much like the two original Queens, the Queen Mary and the Queen Elizabeth. Celebrity Cruise's Celebrity Solstice - The Celebrity Solstice is the first ship in the five ship Solstice Class (though 2 are still under construction) and is easily one of the most sophisticated and stylish ships in years. The ship is very modern looking both inside and outside (the same is true for all the ships in this class) but still maintains a comfortable atmosphere. The ship features the first grass covered deck in the industry among other interesting features such as a glass blowing demonstration. She spends her time mostly cruising in either the Caribbean or Europe. Solstice Page
Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas - Probably the most innovative and well designed cruise ships to come out for years, the Oasis and Allure are truly both amazing ships. At over 220,000grt the Oasis Class ships are more then 40% larger then any other ship in the cruise industry and certainly this size gives them the ability to have more bells and whistles then any other ship. With amenities ranging from Royal Carribean's trademark "Royal Promenade" to new features like Central Park (the first real park at sea) and The Boardwalk (an open air shopping and entertainment area at the ship's aft end), the Oasis and Allure would take weeks to completely enjoy. Disney Cruise Lines' Disney Magic, Wonder and Dream - With Disney's famous attention to detail any cruise on on a Disney ship could be incredible! Their three ships, the Disney Magic, the Disney Wonder and the brand new Disney Dream, are all beautifully designed and built and with the awesome service the Disney is know for, the .....ahem...Disney difference..., the experience onboard is great as well. Designed with families in mind, these ships have exclusive areas that will please everyone from singles, seniors, couples, families, teens and kids. Disney Ship Page
